The food and service here are really spectacular. The omelette that I'm had was really flavorful, the vegetables fresh, and the sausage was delicious. The biscuits are amazing. Would highly recommend

Cajun Seafood Omelette was probably the best breakfast Dish I've ever had.

This spot gives extraordinary service and enjoyable food. One of the best place in the area. The food served rapidly and the prices are affordable. Recommended.

Kiddo tested, momma approved! Kiddo had a waffle and I had a couple crepes, pretty good, a little pricey. Took home a chorizo burrito with a hash brown for hubby. He hated it, no salt and not a wheat tortilla fan. Great food over all, pricey tho. Don't go if you're in a hurry tho. Very nice atmosphere!

Cafe food... super delicious. Prices were reasonable. Feeling here is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I liked.

First time eating here. Very small places but overall great food. Our server was very friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Bakersfield

We specifically went to Bakersfield to experience eating in a diner and it didn’t disappoint. We sat at the counter and found the service friendly and attentive. Food was good too.

What an excellent breakfast spot! We stopped by on our way through town and am sure glad we did. They have an extensive breakfast menu from pancakes to fish tacos and everything in between. The location is a classic old school diner with good service to match. I highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes! We went on a Saturday morning and didn't have any problems walking right in and getting a booth.

I really love eating here when i get the chance. The food is always good and the service is great. Friendly in a real way not in the 'i want a big tip' way. The fried green tomatoes are great! As well as everything else I've ever gotten here.

it's hard to write a review for someplace or you love the people almost as much as you love the food. Anyway, I give it five stars. And if I had five hands, I'd give it five thumbs up.

Cafe food and the setting here is very good. I love visiting here. Prices are decent for the quality. This place has many great reviews for a reason.

So happy I found this spot, such great food and service. I had the eggs with Chile Colorado, the entire dish was on point. Definitely be eating here everytime I am out that way.

Probably the best Ruben I have ever had. Great hidden away place. Ate there two days in a row. I barley at all of mine and I’m a big guy. Vegetable soup is good.

Chile verde omelette was absolutely amazing! I would suggest getting the biscuits and gravy cuz that's almost like a second meal! The biscuits are warm fluffy and delicious! Highly recommend this place the service is fast and they have crushed ice with their sodas

They do not provide or have any coffee creamer. Plating of chicken fried steak did not look appetizing;taste wasn't bad but ok. Gravy seemed not as thick as it should be. Serving size doesn't match what you pay for (expensive). Go to Village Grill instead.

Always love this place for breakfast/brunch. Wait can be long and your whole party must be there when they call your group. Fan favorite would be the prime rib hash and the pumpkin pancakes. But you should always try their specials too.

The perfect little Breakfast Lunch Place. I am glad that I took and chance and went to this adorable and super clean diner. I know we somethings think diners are greasy and super dirty. This one isn't and the food is fresh and the staff are friendly. My husband is very hard to impress and this truly surprised him. ! He bought the first photo meal which was seafood Cajun omelet! My dish was the second photo fried green tomatoes, it was first time trying them and they tasted amazing We are not locals but we will be coming back when we visit or pass by Bakersfield! :)

At the end of 2 weeks in California, we had the best breakfast of the trip. The pancakes are so thick and fluffy with crispy edges. Thick smoky bacon, cooked to spec. Request hot syrup. Makes all the difference. Hubby loved the endless cup of joe. The hash browns and poached eggs are superb. Great staff all around. Really busy, expect to wait unless you can sit at the counter. A local gem.

The food and service is second to none! SERIOUSLY!!!the parking is the only thing I'd knock off for but it really can't be help...the city gree around them. I WILL eat there again.

The 24th Street Cafe is my go-to spot for breakfast in Bakersfield. I sit up at the counter and Donna always takes the best care of me, keeping my coffee cup full. I’m a creature of habit so I don’t usually stray from my scrambled eggs, sausage patty, potatoes and toast but the other things I’ve had have been great too!

Well, well, what a difference a few years will make. New menus with a lot of interesting looking food. Seasonal items, and monthly specials to name a few. One of them that caught my eye was eggs and fried green tomatoes!Looking at the menu, even though I'd come in for breakfast the idea of their pastrami sandwich was what finally reeled me in. They smoke their pastrami in house. It was delicious and the best I've ever eaten! Thick with pastrami, melted cheese, and served on the perfect bread, a Pyrenees sourdough roll.My friend had the Ruben, it was very good and stacked with corned beef, sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese on grilled rye bread. The bread was toasted beautifully, nice and crunchy.I'm not sure what happened there but it was a wonderful change. I'm so glad my friend talked me into going there again.

Delicious food. As somebody from Alabama, the biscuits and gravy were phenomenal.

Clean place and delicious food. Come over for a peace of mind. Kids would love it as well. Small parking zone but you can park on the street. There is a car wash next door as well. And gas station.

Great place for lunch, I had the blueberry muffin . It was so fresh warm n delicious, also took the buttermilk biscuit peach cobbler home.

This place is good home cooked food. Sometimes there's a wait but not for long. The staff is friendly. I recommend the big cinnamon bun with coffee after your meal. Love this place!

Stopped at this place cause it was on Diners Drive ins and Dives. I had the huevos rancheros and they were delicious. The salsa was one of the better salsas I have had. With that I got the hash brown and biscuits and gravy. All which came with my order. The coffee was average. But they have a machine that makes fresh peanut butter. The staff was super nice and the food came out fast. I would recommend this place.

After spending 4 nights at city I am getting a fantastic sense for Bakersfield. This must be my best place to get a"real" breakfast spot.The menu covers all of the bases and the rates are easy on the pocket. Everything is great. The conventional front counter w/ stools because you walk in is excellent if you're by yourself. There might be a wait on weekends, but completely worthwhile. Check'em outside.

Great flavors here for breakfast, have not tried much else. But, the other choices are very appealing as well. People here seem genuinely welcoming to guests and always feel very comfortable. Food comes out fast and coffee keeps on coming. One of my favorite spots!

Haven't eaten here in about 20 years as I have moved away. While mom was in the hospital end of September, I took Dad here for breakfast & we were THRILLED! Super friendly staff. Clean. QUICK! Efficient. Bomb, fresh ingredients. Definitely highly recommend 24th Street Cafe!!

Cafe food at this spot - very tasty. Dropped in on Tues. The staff was helpful and kind. This place has a good atmosphere.

I'd give a 5 but honestly, hit or miss for the service with waitresses. Sometimes they're attentive but other times we don't get asked if we'd like some water. Amazing food though! Try the peanut butter shake for sure!

Good spot for breakfast or lunch. Definitely got that oldschool small town cafe vibe. I got steak and eggs with biscuit and gravy and my wife got crepes. The steak was good and the crepes was filled with too much creme cheese but it was okay. Something noticeable was the Himalayan Salt and the mixed peppercorn grinder. Its a bit tight inside with limited parking. Service was good. Overall its was a good experience.

Such an awesome and cute old-time feeling cafe, with some of the best tasting breakfast you can imagine... Highly recommend the seafood omelette!!!

Great service and workers are very nice and welcoming I recommend to come and sit down drink some coffee in the morning and order there pumpkin spice pancakes I'm definitely coming back again

Always been one of our family favorites. Never been disappointed by the food. Great options and specials. Scratch made everything. It's definitely a local tradition for a reason. Even though I've moved away, stop in whenever I'm visiting!

One of the sandwiches was not melted, Ruben. Everything else was good and we arrived for a late lunch at about 1: 15. The patio was warm and cozy on a very cold day!

Best menu, best atmosphere. Classic diner experience. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Can't say enough good about this place.
